Summer Internship: Young Explorers Program
Join our team this summer as an intern with the Young Explorers program, where you will gain firsthand experience in a child-led, nature-based learning environment. Operating out of Sun Valley Community School’s stunning Trail Creek and Dumke Family Sagewillow Campuses, you will work alongside Lead Instructor and EC Faculty member Kindra Acker to support two distinct age cohorts: toddlers (ages 2-3) or preschoolers (ages 4-5).
Our program is rooted in the belief that children are capable and intelligent, and that their own curiosities should drive the curriculum. As an intern, you will help facilitate daily adventures that use the natural world as a primary teacher—ranging from hiking and gardening to dramatic play and the creative arts.
You’ll also assist in small-group settings (limited to 10-12 campers per week) with sensory activities and the preparation of healthy snacks, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for every "Young Explorer."
